so, because the clans have reunited under four new leaders, the thought of "traditional" clan attributes of cats are somewhat foggy, though existant. for those of you who do not know what i am talking about, each clan in the book had a similar physical or mental attributes. shadowclan was traditionally a clan of darker colored cats with more mysterious or sinister personalities. thunderclan cats were mostly of tabby colors with a high sense of clan pride. windclan cats had short-hair, lighter colors with thinner bodies and a more neuteral thought process. riverclan sported long-hair with silver or solid colors and set in their ways.
as far as coat patterns go, the four leaders did possess attributes of each clan due to starclan's interest in bringing back the old ways of the forest. rumblestar was a large tabby, tidestar was a gray maine coon, breezestar was a lynx-point oriental shorthair, and duskstar was a black norwegian forest cat. they recruited cats who shared the traditional thought-process and coat patterns, but this is not exclusive. it's just something to keep in mind when creating your cat and for you to know where the site is headed.
